SOFACOMPANY represents innovation in the furniture industry, offering high-quality and well-designed furniture through a direct-to-consumer model online. Established by Danish founders Cathrine and Christian Rudolph, the company seeks to provide exceptional value in furniture design, paralleling the responsiveness of today's fashion industry.

Objectives:

  • Consolidated Product Variants: Introduce a system that allows more product variants and fabric options within the same product page instead of listing each fabric as a separate product.
  • Streamlined Product Details: Reorganize the website layout to place product details neatly under the main calls to action, making it easier for customers to find and understand product specifics.
  • Visibility of Product Details: Ensure that the main product details are visible above the first fold of the website, eliminating the need for excessive scrolling.
  • Enhanced 3D and AR Features: Implement advanced 3D visualization and AR functionality, particularly on mobile devices, to allow customers to view products in their space.

The website redesign concentrated on optimizing the customer journey from product discovery to purchase decision:

Before the Redesign

Previously, customers had to navigate through multiple product pages to view different fabric options for each couch style. Essential product details were located below the primary call to action buttons, and interactive features were limited.

After the Redesign

The redesigned website included significant improvements:

  • Unified Product Pages: A single product page now offers a selection of fabrics and styles, allowing customers to choose from a variety of options without leaving the page.
  • Reorganized Product Information: Streamlined product details are now placed directly beneath the main action buttons, such as 'Add to Cart', making it easier for customers to make informed decisions.
  • Above the Fold Product Details: Key product details, including price, dimensions, and available styles, are prominently displayed above the first fold, ensuring immediate visibility upon page load.
  • 3D and AR Integration: Enhanced 3D visualization tools and AR functionality have been integrated, especially for mobile users, enabling customers to place virtual furniture in their actual space for a realistic preview.
