TOMS is Africa’s biggest music instrument retailer and they came to us with TWO issues - how to build a powerful online store & how to build the most powerful paid advertising campaigns. We had successfully implemented both as a team. 

Before the relationship between TOMS & Honey Whale began, they did not have a firm digital presence as they had never considered the potential of an online store until we started running the numbers for them. 

We had to bring the full team together to build a solid strategy that could ensure we met deadlines, deliverables & the set launch date. 

Execution

Our whole goal in the beginning was to optimise the ad campaigns to the point in which the only factor affecting performance was the budget. 

In PPC Advertising, there are multiple factors (aside from budget) that determine the success of a campaign:

  • Keyword volumes
  • Keyword difficulties or competitiveness
  • Keyword Cost-per-click
  • Device priorities
  • Negative terms

From the above, we could create an action plan as to what we needed to do to ensure this project was/still is a success.

When the above was optimised & segments were automated, we started seeing huge increases in sales & ROI.

Sales revenue increases up to 127% within the first 4 months of management.

We are still closely involved with the TOMS in actioning new ideas to further improve & increase their brand presence and sales.
